JULY 10, 1970 (FRIDAY) – ATLANTA, GA – ATLANTA MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM (Paul Jones – Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > Cisco Grimaldo defeated Billy Spears > Ray Gunkel defeated Karl Von Stroheim > Bill Dromo & Alberto Torres defeated Rocket Monroe & Rip Tyler > Handicap Match: Buddy Fuller defeated Homer O’Dell & Buddy Colt > Georgia Heavyweight Title Match: Nick Bockwinkel* versus Paul DeMarco ruled a no contest / Notes: During the match between Buddy Fuller and Homer O’Dell & Buddy Colt, Fuller had O’Dell in a toehold attempting to force him to submit, and Colt ran in the ring and attacked Fuller. Robert Fuller came to the ring to help, but not before Karl Von Stroheim came to the ring and turned the tables. O’Dell managed Colt & Von Stroheim. Nick Bockwinkel had been the reigning Georgia Heavyweight Champion since he defeated Assassin #1 on April 17, 1970. Charlie Smith was credited as being a referee for this card. It was announced that the NWA had lifted the suspension of the Assassins, under the condition that they wear different masks and tights to the ring.
