JULY 14, 1972 (FRIDAY) – ATLANTA, GA – ATLANTA MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM [P] (Paul Jones – Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > Cisco Grimaldo versus the Champ > Rocket Monroe defeated Koa Tiki > Dick Steinborn defeated Oki Shikina > El Mongol defeated Billy Spears > Ox Baker versus the Avenger ruled a no contest > Georgia Tag Team Title Match: the Assassins* defeated Bob Armstrong & Argentina Apollo / Notes: Cisco Grimaldo and the Champ were scheduled to wrestle each other, but no results were reported after the card. Charlie Smith and Bill McMinn were credited as being referees for this card. The Assassins had been billed as Georgia Tag Team Champions since March 18, 1972, after Paul Jones announced they should have been declared the winners in their match against then champions Ray Gunkel & Buddy Fuller on March 10, 1972. Bob Armstrong participated in an autograph session for fans. It was announced that Skandor Akbar would be wrestling in Atlanta soon.
