(courtesy of www.georgiawrestlinghistory.com)

SEPTEMBER 2, 1936 (WEDNESDAY) – AUGUSTA, GA – NEW COLISEUM (Bill Metzger – Promoter) > Mike Nazarian defeated Billy McEwen (2-0) > Boxing Match: Yusef Hussane defeated Lon Chaney by KO in sixth round.

SEPTEMBER 2, 1956 (SUNDAY) – AUGUSTA, GA – WRDW STUDIOS (Tom Mahoney – Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > Dick Raines versus Chief Big Heart > Jerry Graham versus Rocky Columbo / Notes: No documented results for this card have been found. Apparently local television was being done at this time in Augusta, although it has been reported that they previously were receiving the program shot in Atlanta, and also would be later as well. Currently, WRDW out of Augusta is found on Channel 12 and is a CBS affiliate.

SEPTEMBER 2, 1957 (MONDAY) – AUGUSTA, GA – WILLIAM BELL AUDITORIUM (Tom Mahoney – Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > Bill Melby versus Bob Langevin > Ray Gunkel versus the Black Demon > NWA World Heavyweight Title Match: Edouard Carpentier* versus Kurt Von Brawner / Notes: No documented results for this card have been found. Edouard Carpentier had been the reigning NWA World Heavyweight Champion since he defeated Lou Thesz on June 14, 1957, in Chicago, IL, when Thesz injured his back and could not finish the match.

SEPTEMBER 2, 1963 (MONDAY) – AUGUSTA, GA – WILLIAM BELL AUDITORIUM (Steve Manderson – Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > Women’s Match: Cora Combs defeated Sherri Lee > Joe Scarpa defeated Rube Wright > Chief Little Eagle defeated Tito Kopa > Lenny Montana & Tarzan Tyler defeated Bill Dromo & Tim Geohagen.
